Last updated: Oct 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The Winbox ("The Winbox," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit thewinbox.com, sign up for our newsletter, download our guides, book a call, buy a product, or work with us. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. This includes:

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, and business name, when you sign up for our newsletter, download a guide, submit a service inquiry, or book a call.

  • Business information you share about your brand, store, email platform, goals, and performance, for example on intake forms or discovery calls.

  • Payment information when you buy a product or pay an invoice. Card and bank details (including ACH account information) are handled by our payment processors. We see only limited details, such as the payment method type, the last four digits, and billing name.

  • Communications, such as emails, messages, and call notes.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, we and our service providers collect device and usage data. This includes IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location. For our emails, we collect whether a message was opened and which links were clicked.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries, schedule calls, and provide our services and digital products.

  • Process payments, send invoices, and keep business and tax records.

  • Send our newsletter, guides, and marketing emails you signed up for.

  • Improve our website, content, and services.

  • Prevent fraud, resolve billing disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

Client Data We Handle for You

When we manage email marketing for a client, we may access that client's subscriber lists, customer data, and store data. We process this data only on the client's instructions and only to perform the services. We do not use it for our own marketing, and we do not sell or share it. The client remains responsible for its own privacy notices and for having consent to contact its subscribers. If you are a subscriber of one of our clients, contact that business directly about your data.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting (Squarespace), CRM, forms, and scheduling (GoHighLevel/LeadConnector), email and newsletter platforms, payment processors, and analytics tools. They may use the information only to provide services to us.

  • Professional advisors, such as accountants and attorneys, when needed.

  • Legal authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights, for example in a payment dispute.

  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or reorganized.

4. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use it. Our email platforms use tracking pixels and tracked links to measure opens and clicks. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work properly without them.

5. Email Communications

If you join the Weekly Wins newsletter or download a free guide, we will send you emails related to email marketing. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. We will still send transactional messages, such as invoices, receipts, and service updates, while you are a client.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Client records and payment records are generally kept for up to 7 years for tax and legal reasons. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Access to client platforms and client subscriber data ends when the engagement ends, unless the client asks us to retain something.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. These include access controls, two-factor authentication on business accounts, and trusted service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.

  • Correct inaccurate information.

  • Delete your information, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.

  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.

  • Opt out of marketing emails, targeted advertising, or the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Residents of Maryland, California, and other U.S. states with privacy laws, and visitors from the EU and UK, may have additional rights under those laws. To make a request, email hello@thewinbox.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

9. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
